Emergency Obituary Cartoons   Recently updated !

I have a part-time day job, so my ability to draw breaking news is pretty limited. I wanted to get these out there in case Mitch McConnell’s alleged aliveness over the last few weeks is finally debunked. Please don’t share until he’s really and most sincerely dead though. I wouldn’t want to be rude to one of the dudes most responsible for the current fascist state of things.

I might write more of my Mitch Thoughts when it officially happens, but since I spent a good chunk of my career drawing this ghoul, I wanted to get a cartoon out there. I was honestly kind of surprised he’s still a sitting senator. Since he passed the Senate Republican leadership over the Thune, he’s rarely made news except for falling down and glitching out.

Rest in piss, Mitch (Eventually)!

Climate Exhaustion or Climate Denial   Recently updated !

A heat dome has settled over a good chunk of the United States, including New England, where it’s already 95°F/35°C, and expected to pass 100°F/38°C tomorrow. This has resulted in the usual media frenzy of informing people about the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke, all while undermining the seriousness of the threat with B-roll of people having fun at the beach or something similar.

Thousands have died in Europe’s most recent heat wave, since everything there was built for mild summers, before record heat became the new normal. Many Americans have been pretty smug about it, like their window units aren’t costing them hundreds of dollars a month with our antiquated electric grid. Before anyone gloats about their heat pumps and solar, please remember that I rent and my apartment’s currently too hot for your homeowning bullshit.

Stay cool, and be cool this weekend. Don’t let the climate deniers take all of us out with them.
