It’s been almost two years since we last visited this guy. I’ll preface this with the obvious statement that murder is bad. However, sympathy is not mandatory and there a thousands more victims higher on my empathy list than some guy who got rich by denying people health care.

The same people who shrugged after Sandy Hook and a coup are now concerned that our nation’s decades old gun and domestic terrorism epidemics could affect them. This will probably lead to even more bloated police budgets, when their jobs continue to be done by snitches at McDonald’s.

The housing market is insane everywhere. We (as in my community and my family personally) need a lot more of the affordable options built in Boston, where Boomers are squatting on properties they snatched up in the ’80s and are fighting every new building proposal, despite being on a major transit corridor.

Fortunately Mayor Wu announced detailed plans for this, so we may be luckier than cities with mayors who will only spend more money on police.

The pandemic’s still going (and worsening), half the country’s on fire, and the other half’s alternating between floods and heat waves every other week. This as the backdrop for billionaires racing to recreate something the Soviets first accomplished (Sorry, Alan Shepard and John Glenn.) almost 60 years ago doesn’t say much for the free market’s ability to conquer space.
