Despite attempts to sabotage the Post Office, turnout for Massachusetts’ primary* on Tuesday was at an all-time high, thanks to early voting and cities and towns placing dropboxes to collect ballots that couldn’t be mailed in time. Naturally, voter suppression attempts will ramp up for the general, so register to vote, and get your ballots in and returned as early as possible.
*What a relief that Ed Markey won. Pelosi and the establishment wing of the Democrats would’ve taken a Kennedy win as a sign that no one to the left of Joe Manchin mattered and we’d be on our way to Austerity II and misery for years.

Besides stealing an election, sabotaging the Postal Service will result in people not getting medicine, and countless other essentials needed to survive the pandemic, or in general. They don’t care about murder, but killing the one part of the economy that was still kind of working probably isn’t in their own self-interest. Almost like they didn’t think this through!

The school year’s already begun for some unfortunate kids, and college students are returning from their various hometown COVID hotspots back to campus. It’s a disaster in the making, and watching it unfold is one lesson none of us should have to experience.
Since Boston is approximately 75% college campus, I guess I won’t be leaving my home till sometime in 2021, at the earliest.
