Tech Bro Manifesto

Gross slob and Palantir CEO Alex Karp recently released a fascist manifesto on X, the app that loves that sort of thing. As the AI bubble begins to show cracks even its boosters can’t ignore, the CEOs are becoming increasingly belligerent, having spent years surrounded by yes-men and yes-chatbots telling them everyone loves having the entire economy propped up by vaporware no one wants.

I could’ve easily included Google, Microsoft, and Apple CEOs in this comic too, but the one’s featured here are all-in on Al and fascism and have yet to contribute anything beneficial to society. You could make the case that Musk and Zuck used to make things, but you’d be wrong, dummy. They bought (or stole) already existing things and then took credit for it. Even I could do that if I had apartheid emerald mine money.

Anyway, I’ll continue hammering away at the idea that AI rots your brain, and the only proof you need is its loudest proponents.

Dumb War Weapons

We launched another preemptive war of aggression that’s going to kill a lot of people and ruin even more lives for decades to come. At least Congress, including 157 House Democrats, retroactively signed off on it, ensuring this boondoggle is adequately funded while the rest of our lives aren’t.

With Iraq, there was a pretense of manufacturing consent, and public opinion supported it until the fact that it was a stupid war of choice became too obvious to ignore. Besides Congress and the media, nobody wants this war with Iran, and since planning is for nerds, the consequences are already extremely unpopular.

We all just have to sit and watch, and hope the blowback doesn’t happen to us personally, since the ostensible opposition party’s plan is to wait for us to bail them out in the midterms. So much damage is going to happen between now and then. And it all might’ve been prevented if Biden and Merrick Garland released any of the freaky Epstein details that have been trickling out over the past year when they could’ve influenced an election.

Winter Reading List

I’ve been drawing the end of the A.I. bubble for a while, and now even economists (opinion with hints of math, not a science) are starting to notice something’s fishy with all the financial schemes used to prop up this technology no one but the managerial class wants.

There’s some other gags in here about stuff in the news, but if you’ve managed to go this long without learning the details of the Nuzzi-RFK Jr.-Lizza triangle of sadness, I don’t want to end your blissful ignorance.

Sam Altman’s A.I. Bubble Burstin’ Blowout!

Read the comic on Patreon.

The A.I. bubble’s burstin’, after every tech company spent the past year forcing it into their previously useable products. There’s no consumer demand for this crap, but it’s all they have, and their stockholders demand growth. It’ll join the Metaverse and crypto in the trash heap along with all the processors that were wasted rendering boobs on anime cartoons.

In the world of useful innovations, green energy has been on a feverish pace this year, but it’s boring and requires actual technical know-how, so the tech bros will have to invent a knew scam for their next round of pump-and-dumps.
