The housing market is insane everywhere. We (as in my community and my family personally) need a lot more of the affordable options built in Boston, where Boomers are squatting on properties they snatched up in the ’80s and are fighting every new building proposal, despite being on a major transit corridor.

Fortunately Mayor Wu announced detailed plans for this, so we may be luckier than cities with mayors who will only spend more money on police.

Since COVID’s still rippin’, there aren’t many options for sports fans who don’t want Long COVID to watch games. Stadiums and bars are out, and if you’re in the same TV market as the teams you like, the streaming options are blacked out.

The names of everyone featured in the comic aren’t stated explicitly, because they are tedious people who name-search and I don’t want to deal with them or their weird fans. If you can’t identify them, you have a healthier media diet than I do!

Consider this comic an attempt to alleviate some of the guilt I feel every time I plop on a baseball or hockey game.

More fiduciary fun this week. Funds for COVID mitigation measures are being held up in the Senate by Republicans and the usual Democratic suspects to keep Title 42. It was written by Stephen Miller using COVID as a pretext to unilaterally deport anyone seeking asylum from a country where COVID’s run rampant with nary a mitigation measure, like the United States right now, for one example.

Did my taxes just in time to send my refund back out for 2022’s first quarterly estimated taxes. The circle of life.

I’d grumble less about the military getting half of our budget if they used it so Walter Reed could speed up their supposedly universal coronavirus vaccine instead of padding the portfolios of everyone who has Raytheon stock.
