Advertisers started bailing on Sean Hannity’s show after he started peddling some baseless conspiracy theories about a DNC staffer who died. Hannity claims he’ll be returning to pollute the airwaves, so it’s not quite as wonderful as Bill O’Reilly’s banishment from Fox News.

Bill O’Reilly’s out at Fox News, because like Roger Ailes, he is bad at masturbating. Besides a brief cameo in a recent cartoon, the last one I did that was devoted to him was when he lied about being a war correspondent in Grenada.

There’s a lot of good television coming this fall, but I’m going to miss it to watch the final weeks of election coverage. There might be a day or two to binge-watch everything I missed before the 2020 coverage begins in earnest, but I’m not counting on it.

I was bummed when I heard Rupert Murdoch was purchasing National Geographic. I haven’t read it regularly in years, but it was a huge part of my childhood; right up there with “Highlights” and “MAD” magazine. Now that it’s owned by a climate change skeptic who’s also the progenitor of toxic cable and tabloid news, I won’t be picking it up the next time I’m waiting at the dentist’s office.
