America’s 250th Non-Essentials

This month’s cartoon for Exclusive Early Access members is about throwing your own half-assed celebration for America’s 250th birthday. Why should the administration get a monopoly on semiquincentennial scams?

As the media market collapses, and more publications try to shove A.I. illustrations in readers’ faces, my income has become more reliant on direct contributions from readers themselves. Rather than wave a tin cup around and beg constantly, I try to provide some actual content for your hard-earned cash.

Just $1 per month (or less than $10 annually) gets you access to my weekly cartoons as soon as I finish them. Free members can see them a couple days later, without ads, algorithms, and comments from weirdos.

$5 per month (or $48 annually) gets you all that, plus a bonus cartoon every month, and a hand-drawn random holiday card every year.

I’m also trying out livestreams and other bonus content. Members at all levels will get to help me workshop it and figure out a regular schedule for the fall.

Here’s my counter to the annual “How to talk to your MAGA relatives at Thanksgiving” articles, which never seem to be written the other way. Sure, it’s petty, but since they’re immune to reason, maybe a little food poisoning will do the trick.

I’m fortunate to not have to spend the holiday with these awful people. If you have to, I hope the food, booze, and/or drugs makes next week somewhat tolerable.
